"YOGA" - mind body and spirit solutions

The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘YUJ’ which means to join.
Yoga is a science which teaches us the union of souls, it guides us to unite the Individual Soul with the Supreme Soul. Everything is one in the universe and Yoga reminds us of that unity, it is thus the merging of the individual will with the cosmic will.
Yoga can also be described as life in perfection, in peace, in eternal bliss and in unity with the one to whom and where we belong. We have forgotten our true identity, which is not human but divine and Yoga helps us unite with our identity.
Every life is perfect for every life is created by the ONE . We often are surrounded with negativity in our thoughts and deeds, Yoga helps in giving an upward direction to our psychological nature, to our emotions, sentiments and reasoning processes. Yoga thus helps us root in goodness, purity and truth.
Yoga can be described in the following paths:
The path of love is the Bhakti Yoga - Bhakti yoga is the path of devotion, the method of attaining God through love and the loving recollection of God
The path of knowledge is the Jnana Yoga or Gyana Yoga - Jnana yoga is the yoga of knowledge—not knowledge in the intellectual sense—but the knowledge of Brahman and Atman and the realization of their unity.
The path of work is the Karma Yoga - Karma yoga is the yoga of action or work; specifically, karma yoga is the path of dedicated work
The path of meditation is the Raja yoga - Raja yoga, is the royal path of meditation. As a king maintains control over his kingdom, so can we maintain control over our own "kingdom"—the vast territory of the mind.

India......
A thousand images rise: sloe eyed women in brilliant saris, swaying down village streets,
She is the luminous Taj Mahal – a love poem in marble, a small man in a loincloth marching to independence.
India is the stark mountains of Ladhak, snow dusted himalyan peaks, which pierce the heavens and reflect in the mountain lakes. She reflects herself in the Tibetan Budhist monastaries and the small villages that cling precariously to the windswept mountains of Ladhak.
She is the Undulating sand dunes which roll endlessly in the Thar desert,
She shows herself in bustling Mumbai, verdant northeast forests where Orchids grow wild, Computer whiz kids in a Bangalore street cafe and the breathtaking sunsets at land’s end – Kanya Kumari – the southernmost tip of India.
Rich with history and glowing with the Promise of tomorrow, this is India!!...and this is where all the crafts and arts at Indiasoulhandicraft come from.....India’s soul!!

Making your dreams come true!!
Mind body and spirit solutions…
The value of positive thinking and grace
We all want the best in life, be it anything. Our not having a thing or a situation of our choice makes us anxious.
Well if given a mantra to get what one wants life could be so much easier and so much fun and so much a fairytale.
The very first thing needs to be done to actually get what you want if to have the quality of letting go. The very first step is to let go off the feeling, that question, that doubt that can this happen?? Yes everything can happen the way one wants but the prerequisite is to have no doubt, to be in grace and to be thankful for whatever positive you want will definitely come true. However we usually loose focus of what we want and put all our energy into facts as to what troubles us and facts which are our hindrances.
The focus has to be shifted the goal to be more detrimental. Feel lighter, connected…in essence, free to live fully.
Indiasoulhandicraft is a living example of how things come true, how targets are met. How just every thought be it on a spiritual plane or material takes form of reality. Indiasoulhandicraft when started its promotions had kept certain targets to be met, the goal was clear and the cause even more and it worked completely fine. We got to be friends with so much of positive energy, we were able to create our small niche and we are thankful for the same.
Indiasoulhandicraft still focuses on things which are important, things which are positive and it’s a fact that positive thoughts can take reality everywhere.
The mantra : Focus on what you want - only what you want and not on what disturbs you or inhibits you. Stay focused and be ever thankful!!

History of Indian Handicrafts
Handicraft is popularly defined as something – an article of value produced using the skill of hand, however Indiasoulhandicraft goes a bit further in defining it. We at Indiasoulhandicraft believe that it is much beyond the skill of hands, it is set of skills coming from the creative ability of one’s soul.
The perfect colour combinations, the wonderful patterns , the authentic and unique designs and the most important the end uses of these arts and crafts are what define them the best.
The love of a craftsman towards his work shows in the end products that he produces.
The civilisation reach of Indian craft culture cuts through the unmapped pathways of history.
The oldest form of handicraft can be traced down to its textiles.
If we have a look at the historical records and with what little that has come down to us of the records of ancient trade routes and writings of a Greek ship-owner and trader, the accounts of Greek and Roman historians and through traveller’s tales ( Magasthenes, Fahein and Ibn Batuta). The Indian dye has also found Biblical reference.
The widespread popularity of Indian crafted textile is evident from the finding of scrap of indigo dyed “ikat” woven cotton cloth found in a Pharaoh’s tomb pointing to 5000 – year old trade connections with India, to an England bound East India company Shipman’s meticulous records of the the textiles such as the muslin, masulipatnam palampores. These records thus found are nothing less than testimonies for the Indian craft.
Textile is just one of the many form of handicrafts made in India, just a drop in the ocean!!

Global Health – Environment and the business
We have our earth and we have a lot of responsibility towards it. Man in his quest for development was running very fast and he needed to slow down and introspect – he did and the result was that he found that each of us has a responsibility towards having a nice clean environment to live.
Man realised that this was for none else but for him, his own children.
Man’s quest for knowledge is time immemorial and this realisation is nothing but a stepping stone towards a healthy and a beautiful environment.
A lot of us run varied businesses while accounting for its capital outlays however it is really important for us to realise the importance of a major capital component which is the value of earth’s natural resources and its ecosystem services that is water storage, atmosphere regulation, pollution control and so on. If as businesses we do not account for these services and ignore them it would lead to waste and non profitability.
Farsighted business houses are already finding powerful business opportunities in conserving resources on a large scale.
We have to follow a new approach and we have to remember that for a business to flourish it is important to protect the biosphere and also work towards improving profits and competitiveness with equal zeal.
Some very simple changes to the practices already being followed , finding ways built on advanced techniques for making resources more productive can yield startling benefits for the business as well as the society . This approach is called natural capitalism – vanguard of a new business model.
In one of the surveys a small group of scientists was sealed inside a state of technology 3.2 acres glass and metal dome. This model was called Biosphere II and it was attempt to replicate our Earth’s main ecosystems. This team of scientists had survived because fresh air was being pumped in, thus despite millions of dollars worth elaborate equipment the model – Biosphere II could no generate breathable fresh air further could not produce food and water on itself for less than 10 people . Yet our Mother earth effortlessly performs these tasks for each of us who are billions in number.
Due to extensive industrialisation and other false practices our Earth is in danger, is at risk which further is risking our economic activities. In our dangerously narrow focused ways of working, processing, producing, transporting disposing etc. we had forgotten the broader picture.
We need to broaden our horizons of thought, Man has woken up to the fact that the natural resources of our Earth have to be conserved and used in the best profitable way. Man has to differentiate between resources and ecosystem services. For example forests which fall under the category of resources not only produce the resource of wood fibre but also provide various ecosystem services such as water storage, habitat, regulation of atmosphere and climate. Man has to realise that when he earns income from harvesting wood fibre he should do it in a way that it does not hinder the forest’s ability to carry out its other vital tasks.
Businesses and companies have to show interest in sustainable development and man has already begun this quest.
