Karma – A rhythmic return to harmony

Indiasoulhandicraft started on a very good and positive note the very first post was a prayer from Ms Margaret Wiesflecker. Mystic lands of India that are the birthplace of Indiasoulhandicraft make us an undaunted follower of the theory of Karma. We truly believe that each member/friend of Indiasoulhandicraft is so much full of positive energy and so much a wonderful being that the energy can be felt all over. We believe it’s our karma to have such wonderful people with us. Karma is an ancient theory - a harbinger of balance and harmony in our lives.Karma is a Sanskrit word that literally means "action.” Any kind of intentional action whether mental, verbal, or physical, is regarded as Karma. It covers all that is included in the phrase "thought, word and deed". Generally speaking, all good and bad action constitutes Karma. it is simply the universal law of cause and effect that says every thought, word and act carries energy into the world and affects our present reality. The energies our thoughts and actions produce can cover the entire planet, or even beyond, in the blink of an eye. We all can adjust our actions to either change an ongoing situation, or gain new perspective on a past situation so we can avoid making the same mistake twice. By understanding karma, we can unlock the patterns from past lives and also choose a better path for this life and the next.A range of products at Indiasoulhandicraft have been designed and made to remind each of our duty to love, to respect life – oneself-each other, to be human, to be truthful, to remain happy, to remind others to be happy and all that is positive in thought and deed, for the theory of karma also is that whatever one gives, one receives the same thousand fold. A glimpse of this “Karma” range is being showcased in the album. So come let’s join hands to make this world wonderful and beautiful beyond comparison!!

Each of our member/friend is dear to us and is equally important to us the way our craftsmen and all those who have put efforts to make this dream a reality are.
We are very grateful to one of our friend/member who on her very first interaction posted the following for us:Margret Wiesflecker posted a 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' Jeremiah 29:11 using God's Word. hi, this is margret from austria! as a social worker i like to support projects that improve chances of people. i see you move and you be busy to get foreward. i wish you good success in all your doing. peace and equal chances for all people!
And with this we would like to send a message across, this world is full of cares, full of challenges and full of dreams and we all must never give up if we believe that our pursuit is positive. We all must remember that we must move on with a smile keep following our dreams till they become reality which they will of course.
It is important to remember that if our dreams are positive the energies around would gather to help us, Nature would bow to our wishes and we will have all that we want. But yes the want should be very positive!!.Wish in Hindi is called “ Ichha” and a positive wish is called “ Shubh Ichha”. It is said that God never denies any wish of his/her Child and “ Shubh Ichha” comes true with second 7 seconds to seven days only if it is full of faith and positivity, God holds nothing back from.Indiasoulhandicraft is about to launch its online store and the encouragement that each friend member/friend who joined in from across the world speaks the fact that the positive energies are coming together to celebrate, the prayer sent to us by Ms Magaret Wiesflecker is a living example for the same.
Come let us celebrate the spirit of positivity as we move closer to launching our Online boutique – Indiasoulhandicraft!!

History of Indian Handicrafts

Handicraft is popularly defined as something – an article of value produced using the skill of hand, however Indiasoulhandicraft goes a bit further in defining it. We at Indiasoulhandicraft believe that it is much beyond the skill of hands, it is set of skills coming from the creative ability of one’s soul.
The perfect colour combinations, the wonderful patterns , the authentic and unique designs and the most important the end uses of these arts and crafts are what define them the best.
The love of a craftsman towards his work shows in the end products that he produces.
The civilisation reach of Indian craft culture cuts through the unmapped pathways of history.
The oldest form of handicraft can be traced down to its textiles.
If we have a look at the historical records and with what little that has come down to us of the records of ancient trade routes and writings of a Greek ship-owner and trader, the accounts of Greek and Roman historians and through traveller’s tales ( Magasthenes, Fahein and Ibn Batuta). The Indian dye has also found Biblical reference.
The widespread popularity of Indian crafted textile is evident from the finding of scrap of indigo dyed “ikat” woven cotton cloth found in a Pharaoh’s tomb pointing to 5000 – year old trade connections with India, to an England bound East India company Shipman’s meticulous records of the the textiles such as the muslin, masulipatnam palampores. These records thus found are nothing less than testimonies for the Indian craft.
Textile is just one of the many form of handicrafts made in India, just a drop in the ocean!!

Global Health – Environment and the business

One of the primary missions of India Soul Handicraft was a responsibility towards environment and we constantly research on ways to make this Earth beautiful!!
We have our earth and we have a lot of responsibility towards it. Man in his quest for development was running very fast and he needed to slow down and introspect – he did and the result was that he found that each of us has a responsibility towards having a nice clean environment to live.
Man realised that this was for none else but for him, his own children.
Man’s quest for knowledge is time immemorial and this realisation is nothing but a stepping stone towards a healthy and a beautiful environment.
A lot of us run varied businesses while accounting for its capital outlays however it is really important for us to realise the importance of a major capital component which is the value of earth’s natural resources and its ecosystem services that is water storage, atmosphere regulation, pollution control and so on. If as businesses we do not account for these services and ignore them it would lead to waste and non profitability.
Farsighted business houses are already finding powerful business opportunities in conserving resources on a large scale.
We have to follow a new approach and we have to remember that for a business to flourish it is important to protect the biosphere and also work towards improving profits and competitiveness with equal zeal.
Some very simple changes to the practices already being followed , finding ways built on advanced techniques for making resources more productive can yield startling benefits for the business as well as the society . This approach is called natural capitalism – vanguard of a new business model.
In one of the surveys a small group of scientists was sealed inside a state of technology 3.2 acres glass and metal dome. This model was called Biosphere II and it was attempt to replicate our Earth’s main ecosystems. This team of scientists had survived because fresh air was being pumped in, thus despite millions of dollars worth elaborate equipment the model – Biosphere II could no generate breathable fresh air further could not produce food and water on itself for less than 10 people . Yet our Mother earth effortlessly performs these tasks for each of us who are billions in number.
Due to extensive industrialisation and other false practices our Earth is in danger, is at risk which further is risking our economic activities. In our dangerously narrow focused ways of working, processing, producing, transporting disposing etc. we had forgotten the broader picture.
We need to broaden our horizons of thought, Man has woken up to the fact that the natural resources of our Earth have to be conserved and used in the best profitable way. Man has to differentiate between resources and ecosystem services. For example forests which fall under the category of resources not only produce the resource of wood fibre but also provide various ecosystem services such as water storage, habitat, regulation of atmosphere and climate. Man has to realise that when he earns income from harvesting wood fibre he should do it in a way that it does not hinder the forest’s ability to carry out its other vital tasks.
Businesses and companies have to show interest in sustainable development and man has already begun this quest.
